Safety Equipment in the Laboratory

                                           




         One of the important rule is to follow the protocol of the laboratory, so you should know what are the protective equipment in the lab to avoid accident also to prevent further damage. Fire blanket can be used to smother a fire. Safety shower in case of fire you pull the overhead handle and remove clothing that may be contaminated with chemicals. Sterile gloves provide a temporary layer of protection and are permeable to some substances.

          Chemical spill treatment kit when a chemical spill on the lab bench or on the floor. Goggles you cannot work without goggles because it may squirt to your eyes will be affected may lead to blindness. First aid kit available in the lab for minor cuts and scrapes. RA 9275 – Philippine Clean Water act of 2004

          Be reminded Any time chemicals, heat, or glassware are used, MTs will wear safety goggles. Long hair, dangling jewelry, and loose or baggy clothing are a hazard in the laboratory. Long hair must be tied back, and dangling jewelry and baggy clothing must be secured.
